The Workshop YoungReporters @ Dark Music Days with Berlin based music journalist Julia Kaiser, is designed for:
people aged 16 and up
students
curious amateur listeners
young professional musicians and journalists
JungeReporter has been a part of many music festivals around Europe such as Kammermusikfest Lockenhaus (A) and DAVOS FESTIVAL for young artists (CH), Ultraschall Berlin (D) and Oxford Chamber Music Festival (GB). YoungReporters brings young listeners to enjoy classical music deeper by taking notes and asking questions. To understand it better by watching rehearsals and interviewing the performers. And to come to a profound opinion about a performance through written reflection.
YoungReporters is for those who like to write about music. Learning journalistic know-how in a practical way, you will find answers to questions such as: How can new music be put into words? What are the essentials for diffent journalistic formats, reviews and reportage? Can music journalism be objective? Beauty, truth and social eruptions – how can a music journalist bring out what is reflected in new music?
YoungReporters Dark Music Days Workshop offers:
• A Writers Hub - Room for reviews, interviews, reportage, impressions from backstage areas, photos, features. Everything will be published on the JungeReporter-Blog.
• Encounters with (inter)national artists such as Quatuor Bozzini, Nordic Affect, Trio Isak and Reykjavík Symphony Orchestra.
• Skill-sharpening workshops with music journalist Julia Kaiser. Find your personal style, give your texts the real thrill, become a magnifier for artistic expressions
• Room for all publications: www.jungereporter.eu.
• Certificate of taking part in and advanced journalistic writing course
Participants (8-12 persons) YoungReporters is for young people between 16 and 25 years, who might not necessarily want to be on stage themselves, but who are talented observers and good at asking questions.
