Lóðrétt hljómekra er fjölrása hljóðinnsetning fyrir hátalara og söngskálar, hugsuð sérstaklega fyrir stigagöng. Hljómekra söngskálanna virkir rýmið og leiðir hljóðið upp og niður milli hæðanna, þar sem hlustandinn upplifir rýmið á nýjan hátt. Verkið býður upp á djúpa hlustun og nærveru. 

Verkið var styrkt af KODA Kultur og OpenDays-hátíðinni.

Vertical Resonance Fields is a multichannel sound installation for loudspeakers and singing bowls, conceived specifically for stairwells. The sound of the singing bowls activate the space and guide the sound up and down between the floors, allowing the listener to experience the architecture in a new way. The work invites deep listening and presence.

The work was supported by KODA Kultur and the OpenDays Festival.

Jesper Pedersen er tónskáld, hljóðlistamaður og kennari sem sérhæfir sig í hljóðgervlum, rafmiðlum og tilraunatónlist. Hann kennir nýmiðlatónsmíðar við Listaháskóla Íslands og hefur komið víða fram með eigin verkum sem og í samstarfi við aðra listamenn. Verk hans kanna tengsl milli tækni, rýmis og skynjunar og skapa einstaka hljóðupplifun fyrir áhorfendur.

Jesper Pedersen is a composer, sound artist, and educator who specializes in synthesizers, electronic media, and experimental music. He teaches new media composition at the Iceland University of the Arts and has presented his work widely, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other artists. His works explore the relationship between technology, space, and perception, creating unique sonic experiences for audiences.
